Progapork has 3 distinct areas that cater to the specific needs of each stage of the rearing of livestock. The separation of these areas ensures animal welfare and hygiene conditions and quality that we demand.
Area mothers
3,000 livestock units mothers make up the area where the piglets of the best genetic characteristics are produced and live with them until weaning.
Lechoneras
12,000 places for pigs coming from the area of mothers after weaning. It is a transition zone in a key phase for the optimum development of livestock.
Area bait
Progapork has more than 40,000 places for bait pigs. Bait area is in turn divided into zones to prevent agglomeration and to ensure space for livestock. During this stage the cattle reach maturity and optimum size for consumption.
